What do you call the borders around Finland?
Having a whole room to myself these past two nights has been an absolute blessing. Especially when I had to wake up at 6.30 this morning. I got up that early so that I could get everything packed and get to my train on time. I estimated that it would take me the same amount of time from the hostel as it took to get to the hostel. Surprise surprise, walking downhill is a lot quicker than uphill, who knew?!?
I had no idea what to do today so after sorting out a lot of photos from previous destinations I set off to explore the nature reserve that surrounds this hostel.
Went North today. 3 hours on a train up to Sundsvall for no real reason, more the fact that it was another place I could visit. I had no idea what to expect when I boarded that train.
Yesterday I missed my chance to go to Skansen Open Air museum as they were closing/closed. So I encouraged myself to head out early and get there while it was still open. Got there half an hour after it opened so was quite proud of myself for that.
So I’m quite recognisable, who would’ve guessed?
It’s always said “you never forget how to ride a bike”. Well I’m the guy who did.
Waving goodbye to Bergen I boarded the first train back to Oslo. Now, whether it was because I stayed up late chatting or the early morning wake up call to catch my seat, I fell asleep almost as soon as I sat down.
Sweden really is a beautiful country. Having seen Elk in the zoo yesterday, I actually saw two wild moose on the train journey today.
Yesterday was a much needed rest day and today probably should’ve been too.
